The theme of Earth Day 40th anniversary is the defense of the « Green Generation ». To celebrate this planetary event, Rabat has been chosen among Premier Cities, like Washington, New York, Buenos Aires, Tokyo and Kolkata.
Celebration Day held on 24 April 2010, will be marked by a concert at the OLM space in Rabat which will join together in a festive spirit artists of renown and also personalities hailing from different milieus as well as ecology militants from Morocco and elsewhere coming to offer their testimony and participate in the festivities.
For almost 6 hours, awareness-building messages issued by personalities of world renown will alternate with the projection of films and also memorable concerts by famous stars of world music.
These artists sharing common interest in ecology and awareness of themes connected to environmental protection will share with the public their love of music and also of the Earth in an atmosphere of festivity and celebration.
Artists of renown from the Moroccan and international music scene. A song for Earth Day interpreted by Moroccan artists joining together to call upon the Moroccan people to take action on behalf of the Earth. Famous personalities will contribute with their testimony. A spirit of festivity and communication will spread among thousands of spectators around the theme of Our Earth.
This year Morocco will join more than 174 countries across the globe to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. All Moroccan citizens are invited to celebrate their Earth and participate in this great international event!
